Over the past few years, DevOps has evolved from being a niche practice into a mainstream methodology that has experienced double-digit growth and is presently employed by a wide range of global companies. The concept is simple: focus on people and culture as well as tools and processes to more rapidly implement technology solutions.
But, is it really that simple? While some companies believe an ‘all in, go big or go home’ tactic is best others prefer to meld a DevOps mindset with tried and true techniques of continuous deployment, automated builds, and solid test environments. In short, taking a diligent but practical approach to building and quickly delivering technology solutions that does not adversely impact the IT organization or existing workflows.
